“Aim higher, even if you stumble, you will still perform better than you once did.” This motto has guided me through-out my four years at HSUHK. Starting with no programming knowledge, I embraced every opportunity HSUHK offered, serving as the financial secretary of the student association, participating in the HSUHK Local Internship Programme, and leading a research team in Artificial Intelligence Voice Conversion, which culminated in a paperpresented at the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence.

The ambitious goals I set and the support from HSUHK—through expert guidance from professors and scholarships as financial assistance—were vital to my success. As my journey at HSUHK concludes, I am grateful for these unforgettable experiences that will shape my future.

Stock Trading System Developer

During these unique and special years of learning, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and cherished numerous memorable experiences at HSUHK. HSUHK has effectively provided a diverse range of knowledge across various domains, including frontend, backend, UI/UX, and AI. Starting from having no prior programming knowledge to becoming part of a group capable of developing a real-time voice converter, I have experienced the challenges of dealing with errors, the stress and exhaustion that come with it, and the exhilaration and joy when things work as intended. Every developer goes through this transformative journey.

Both online and face-to-face teaching methods have their merits, but self-learning is also indispensable. I firmly believe that we are not just graduates of HSUHK, but also of Stack Overflow and GitHub, and undoubtedly, ChatGPT this year. It has been a pleasure to have such amazing teachers who possess both a great sense of humor and patience. I am convinced that possessing this knowledge can provide all students with a competitive advantage and, furthermore, it can eventually merge with our personal interests and hobbies. Here’s to embracing great days ahead in the future!

During the pandemic, almost half of our university life was spent at home and taking online courses; however, my journey at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong was still glorious. I have many unforgettable memories of these four years: my first solo performance in the naming ceremony in HSUHK, being the president of SA-AHCC and HSU Sinfonietta and worked on a self-proposed topic as my Senior Year Project. I genuinely believe that these diverse experiences have shaped me into who I am today. I would like to express my gratitude to my professors and schoolmates; without your support, I may still be struggling with my future. We are embarking on a new journey, and I wish all of us good luck in the future.

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has given me the opportunity to explore my interests and turn them into a career. The courses that I have taken were very relevant to my work requirements. I appreciate that this university has an excellent learning environment to sustain my academic life. I am grateful for the friendships that I have made between my schoolmates and professors. Their encouragement has enchanted me to compete in UNESCO and STEM competitions. This university has given me a wonderful academic experience I would never have thought possible.

IT Solutions Product Executive

I chose to study Computing at HSUHK due to the high demand of IT talents and my interests in coding. My four years of study helped me to discover different areas within technology, from graphical and database design, to software and website development, which helped me to strengthen all my technical skills. All the projects and tutorial exercises gave me chances to gain practical experiences. The most amazing part of our programme is the endless support from our professors and lecturers. They always encourage us to ask them questions, no matter if it is about academic, career or personal growth. They gave me valuable suggestions when I was struggling about my future. Technology is obviously the trend in the future, while all the knowledge and words from my professors are the treasures I gained here. Thank you for everything.

I am glad to study in the computing programme in HSUHK. This pioneering programme was launched in 2016. Here, the professors provided me with a lot of guidance and opportunities to participate in internships and competitions. I am grateful for the support I got from the university. I enjoyed learning at HSUHK. My studies here have been transformed into my experiences and better equipped me.

I am very thankful to this place which has provided me with a joyful learning experience. I had a lots of opportunities to develop my talents. The valuable chances to visit banks and companies have helped me to get familiar with the current market. Last summer, I joined a cultural exchange programme and completed my internship. Albert Einstein once said, “Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school”. I believe what we earned from this place is far more than what we forgot.
